"Fruitful Agreements"
When opportunities become available for family members and friends loved ones tend to speak positively on their behalf. Individuals seek the best for those whom they love and respect. Associations, friendships and relationships are to be foundationally built on love as the features of trust, loyalty and sacrifice are exhibited. Whatever one sows into a relationship is what they will surely reap.
In Daniel 2:1-19 we discover that King Nebuchadnezzar had dreams that troubled and disturbed him. King Nebuchadnezzar not only wanted an interpretation of his dreams, he wanted the magicians, enchanters and sorcerers to state the precise descriptive contents of his dream without King Nebuchadnezzar revealing anything. King Nebuchadnezzar was very adamant and issued a decree to cut them into pieces as well as devastate their households.
When the decree went out to destroy all the wise men of Babylon, Daniel spoke with “wisdom and discretion” to the captain of the king’s bodyguard Arioch regarding the harsh, urgent decree. Daniel “asked the king to appoint a date and give him time, so that he might reveal to the king the interpretation of the dream.” (Daniel 2:16).
The bible states that Daniel went to his house and conversed with his companions Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah (Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego) about the matter so they might seek compassion from God regarding King Nebuchadnezzar’s undisclosed dream so that they would not be executed.
Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah agreed in prayer to God for revelation and favor so they “would not be executed with the rest of the wise men of Babylon.” (Daniel 2:18). The LORD answered their prayers of agreement and during the night the mystery was revealed to Daniel and Daniel praised God.
It is wise to have companions who you can converse with regarding matters that concern you and prayerfully agree to seek God genuinely on the issue. When Hanianah, Mishael and Azariah sowed into prayer and agreement with Daniel later on they reaped a promotion along with Daniel after precisely stating the contents and interpretation of King Nebuchadnezzar’s dream. Daniel received accolades and promotion and he spoke up on behalf of those he cared for and respected and made a request that “ appointed Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego over the affairs of the province of Babylon.” (Daniel 2:49)
There is power in agreement, seek God-honoring fruitful associations.
