MAINTAIN YOUR RIGHTEOUS LIFE
“For God did not call us to uncleanness, but in holiness.” (1 Thessalonians 4:7)
The Lord who calls and chooses us is a holy God. Apostle Peter wrote that we have been paid in full, not with perishable things but with the precious blood, which is the holy blood. The blood of Jesus Christ cleanses us from all of our sins. We are set free from punishment and given a life of grace. We live because of God’s grace.
However, as we are living the life of grace from the Lord, we are also required to avoid reckless life. Let’s imagine what would happen if we eat food carelessly. We can get sick or poisoned. As we are very careful with our bodies, we also need to be careful with spiritual matters.
As housewives, have we acted according to the word of God? Have we become fathers according to the word of God? Have we become professionals who please the Lord? Have we become children in ways that are aligned with the word of God? Whatever we are doing right now, let us do it right in the fear of the Lord. Let our works become a pulpit for our ministry. We are speaking or declaring His truth to others through our works.
Holiness is not only about not doing a list of evil things in our lives. Holiness is an attitude of choosing the things that are aligned with the word of God. Aren't we faced with choices in this life? Do not use our free will wrongly. If we look different from others because we prefer having the right attitude, then let that attitude lead us because there are strength and assurance of the future in the truth.
People may think we are weird because we don't compromise with wickedness, however, we are shaking the kingdom of darkness at that time.
