Reside

DAY 2 OF 7

Isn't it amazing to think that the God of the universe wants to make His permanent dwelling with you? The Bible is full of beautifully epic stories of how God has sought after us time and time again.

The love of God that resides with those who are wholeheartedly His comes with a promise. The promise is that He will fill you with gladness. Psalm 16:11 says, “You make known to me the path of life; in Your presence, there is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore." Romans 14:17 reminds us that, "Righteousness, peace, and joy are found in the Holy Spirit." If your home feels chaotic and you need a solution, God wants to give you joy. And, on the shirttails of joy, His peace can consume and fill your rooms with pleasures forever.

Another promise that comes when we reside with God is His incomprehensible love. Lamentations 3:22 says, "The Lord's love never ends; his mercies never stop; they are new every morning." We know that every morning the sun will rise, and it will set every evening. That is the amazing thing about God's love: It's consistent, never-ending, never failing. His love remains the same. And with this promise comes another. Not only is His love constant to you, but it also is consistent to generations that are to follow - to your children and their children's children. Psalm 24:5-6 states, "They will receive the Lord's blessing and righteousness given by the Savior - God. They will stand before God, for they seek the pleasure of God's face, the God of Jacob. Pause in His presence."

Here is the ultimate question: Have you made space for God to reside in your home, heart, and life? God is willing to meet you where you are. Our prayer is that your house would be full of peace, gladness and filled to the brim with His love. And, when you look back over your life, we pray you see the thread of His faithfulness throughout your life and generations yet to come.

Psalm 23:6 promises, "Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever."
