Bold Faith - Part 1 - SE Studentsنموونە
“Bold Faith Moves Beyond Belief.”
Don’t just talk the talk, but walk the walk. When bold faith moves beyond belief, we go from just saying Christian things to doing Christian things. When bold faith moves beyond belief, we shift from our Christianity being defined by our church attendance to our Christ-likeness. The question to ponder today is, “Does the way I live prove what I believe?”
What would people say about your faith if their only idea of you was the way you live? If someone interviewed your coach, your classmates, your neighbors, and your friends, what would they say about your faith in God? Would they be able to share about the way you live and love like Jesus or would they be struggling to define your beliefs?
Joshua had faith that was lived out. As we have begun to see just in the first chapter of this book, Joshua was recognized by his bold faith that moved beyond belief. One of the reasons Joshua was able to walk so confidently and lead so courageously is that he had seen someone else live that way. A man named Moses was Joshua’s mentor and the previous leader of the Israelites. Moses had to have bold and crazy faith to lead the Israelites out of their oppressive slavery in Egypt.
Today as you read through these Bible passages, take time to consider what your life of faith looks like when it’s lived out. Also, reflect on people around you who model a life that shows their faith has moved beyond belief.
