The Heart Attitudes: Part 6نموونە
Heart Attitude #5 – Participate in the Ministry
Ephesians 4:11-12 “And He personally gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors and teachers, for the training of the saints in the work of ministry, to build up the body of Christ,”
The final three heart attitudes deal with our relationships to groups. If you are part of a group, any group, then you have both benefits from being in that group and responsibilities to do for that group to succeed. That is true for families, sports teams, clubs, ministries on campus, and churches. Each person must handle their assignments for the group to function most effectively.
This week we will explore how that plays out specifically in the church and ministry arenas. But you can also make application of the principle for all the groups you find yourself in. You must participate in the functioning of the group to maximize the effectiveness of the group.
If you do not do your part, someone else must pick up the slack. I am sure you are never the ones in group projects that do not do your part of the assignment! So, you know what it means and how much added stress comes with finishing the work that someone else was supposed to do for the group.
That same principle holds true for the spiritual work that the church and campus ministries have been called to do. Everyone needs to be both invested in and involved with doing their part to complete the work the Lord has given to us.
