Real Hope: True Successنموونە
The God of the Comeback
Everybody loves good comeback stories because they give us hope!
What about Thomas Edison? He was home schooled by his mom because the teachers said he was too slow to learn at school. And he made quite a comeback! At the age of 10 he’d already set up his first chemistry laboratory. After countless attempts, he went on to create the light bulb and over 1,300 other inventions. It’s clear, a failure wasn’t failure to him. Failure was one step closer to a solution.
There’s a story in the Bible where Peter and Andrew had been up all night fishing and caught nothing. As professional fishermen, if they didn’t catch fish, they didn’t make money. They were discouraged and tired. But then Jesus comes along and does what He does best – the impossible! Jesus tells Peter to "launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch." Peter replies, "Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless at Your word I will let down the net." After doing what Jesus tells them to do, they catch more fish in half an hour than they had in a whole night. God turned their setback into a comeback.
When God speaks of success in Scripture, He relates it to a focus on His Word. If you are needing a breakthrough, take God at His Word and watch what happens…

About this Plan
We live in a world that equates success with status, money, power, position, and influence. However, this is not the success that our heavenly father desires for us. In this plan we will explore what success looks like from God's point of view.
