Vibrant: A Life of Worshipنموونە
There was a reason why Peter reminded us of the valuable promises that are ours in Christ, and why Peter invited us to become partakers of the divine nature. There was a reason why Peter reminded us of the importance of getting to know God better every day, and reminded us that we are called by glory and excellence.
You are called. You are chosen. Now you must determine personally to what degree you will live for Christ and His kingdom. You choose whether to choose Him or not every day in a thousand ways both big and small. You elect exactly what the depth of your walk in Christ will be by whether or not you embrace the virtues of godly living that Peter has invited you to drench yourself in.
God has decided that you are His by His own initiative. Now, it remains up to you to decide how much of God you want. He wants all of you.
Do you want all of Him?
If you choose the Lord and His ways above your own preferences and desires, you will never stumble. You will live a life of sheer beauty and obvious joy when all that you are bows in worship to all that He is.
Isn’t it wonderful to realize that in life, we don’t have to fail, but we can soar through situations sheltered by His love and care? The Holy Spirit has made a way for you to make it through life with as little injury as possible!
If you long to go through life free from wounds and pain, then you will set your eyes on the Father and you will listen to His voice. If today you bear the scars of past foolish decisions, remind yourself that today is a new day to obey! Set your eyes on the plans and principles that have been written just for you in the Word of God and never take your eyes off of His truth. Be diligent in your attempts to please Him and you will discover, just as I did as a child, that balance is all about focus. I choose to focus on Him and to hear His voice above all others. I choose.
