STEPPING UP IN EXCELLENCE
Yesterday we looked at the Corinthian generosity. Today we are reminded of the necessity of putting fine feeling into fine action. Our care for those in need should not remain only as a feeling, a pity should not remain only of the heart and a fine desire should never remain without fine deeds. We need to turn them into actions. Paul reminds the Corinthians that life has a strange way of evening things up. It is measured to us with the same measure as we measure others. We live upon the charity of the Lord Jesus Christ therefore; we have a good reason why we should be charitable to the poor out of what we possess. Paul urges them on their consideration of their eminence in other gifts and graces, and want them to excel in this of charity.
Dear God,
Teach us to excel in giving and caring for those in need. Help us to serve you as you deserve. Make us faithful stewards of your great bounty. - Amen.
Anyone can do their best but we are helped by the spirit of God to do better than our best.

About this Plan
My inspiration for this 30 days Devotional is from prolonged theological discourses on Justice. My burning desire is to see that the Church becomes catalyst to stop violence against the poor. I am also grateful to Organizations who work relentlessly to secure Justice for the poor.
