Foretold - Seeing Is Believingنموونە
We have barely scratched the surface of the evidence God embedded in the Bible that was designed to unfold in the march of history.
We learned what was foretold of Edom, Tyre, and the Philistines centuries ago, but there remain more than a dozen nations, races, and places targeted by detailed predictions.
God built and is building the evidence with each passing year, to show you that the God who parted the seas, rained fire from heaven, and raised the dead is still active in the nations today and intimately involved in your life.
The Bible prophets targeted nations that were separated by hundreds of miles. Today, it might take a couple hours to a couple days to drive the distance. In ancient times, these prophets might take weeks or months to travel between just two locations, if ever laying eyes on them at all.
The time from prediction until today spans thousands of years. If a Biblical generation is 40 years from the birth of a child until the death of their grandparents, over 60 generations have come and gone. Yet, all that was foretold has held true through the twists and turns of history.
Finally, consider the millions of lives that have come and gone. Single lives such as Alexander the Great emerged to alter the course of history. Wars displaced entire populations. Yet, the predictions in the Bible hold up in all their details through the impossible variables of millions of lives.
David Hume in the Enlightenment, and more recently astronomer Carl Sagan, popularized the saying, “Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.”
Predicting the future is beyond extraordinary. These predictions, separated by hundreds of miles, fulfilled over thousands of years, spanning millions of lives are proof beyond a reasonable doubt.
All these predictions we can see fulfilled today prove the Bible came from the very hand of God.
From epic miracles in the past to miracles captured on camera today, our Father has a pattern of revealing the important stuff after the “WOW”. Stuff about the meaning of life and His effort to capture your heart.
The Father did more than write history before it happens. He laid out hundreds of predictions about the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The whole point is to persuade your mind to believe in your heart that, as Isaiah foretold 600 years before the cross,
“…Because He poured out His soul unto death… He bore the sin of many, [He] made intercession for the transgressors.”
