Do Not Fear!نموونە
Do not fear! Jesus is here (early)!
Jesus is never late. In fact, he sometimes shows up early. Remember what happened on Easter morning? “So the women hurried away from the tomb, afraid yet filled with joy, and ran to tell his disciples. Suddenly Jesus met them. ‘Greetings,’ he said. They came to him, clasped his feet and worshiped him” (Matthew 28:8,9). Just when the women thought they would have to wait until Galilee to see Jesus, he showed up early!
Jesus still does. You might assume that you have to wait until heaven to be with him. Many Christians assume that only once you die do you get to be with God. But that’s not true. It all starts now! Eternal life begins when you first believe. Jesus said, “Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life” (John 5:24). True, we can’t see Jesus’ face like Mary did on Easter morning, but faith promises that he’s still present with us, right here and right now.
That’s why you can worship today. You can shake off your fear of what might happen because Jesus is already here with you. You can walk into the doctor’s office for your exam, have that tough conversation about your child’s behavior, or read the news without being consumed by worry. After all, the glorious Son of God, the One who left the tomb empty and works out all things for our good, is here.
Thank God for a Savior who shows up early!
