Key Events: Key Historical Events Of The Bible

DAY 87 OF 89

End Times

A brief description is given of the 1000 year reign of Jesus. Satan and his followers are imprisoned and Jesus and his followers rule. Satan is released at the end of the 1000 years and is again defeated and punished forever. There is judgment of people as well. Those not written in the book of life are punished too.

Based on this brief description, it is impossible to answer all the questions people might have about Jesus’ reign. What we do know is that Satan lives in continual rebellion against God, despite knowing the outcome, and that Satan and those who have not trusted Jesus will be judged. People sometimes wonder about all the evil in the world today. We wonder why God allows it to continue to happen. We don’t know how long it will continue, but we do know it will end. Jesus will judge and that judgment will let nothing go unpunished. The punishment is eternity in the lake of fire for those who do not trust Jesus or Jesus’ death on the cross for those who have trusted him.
