Real Hope: Resetنموونە
Reset Daily
If there’s ever a year where we seek a reset, it’s 2021.
I don’t need to remind you that 2020 was hard. For many of us it was a time of disconnection, isolation, sickness, improvisation, and perhaps more than anything, uncertainty.
And so, here we are, at another turning point. January 2021: the marker of a new start and the date that many of us looked to as the moment when the worries and troubles of 2020 would be behind us. I certainly hope there’s some truth to this. But I also know that this world, broken as it is, will continue to surprise us. Each day brings new troubles and burdens.
And yet, God gifts us new mercies each day. Not just when the calendar ticks over from December 31 to January 1. Every day is a new start: an opportunity to reset. And every day provides a moment to stop and look at how God has been at work in our lives, and how He has been growing us.
Take a moment today (and maybe this could be a new habit for 2021) to reflect on God’s faithfulness to you. Where have you seen His mercies at work? Even in the muck and mess, and the uncertainty, what has God been teaching you? And what worries and burdens do you need to cast on Jesus (1 Peter 5:6–7), knowing that He cares for us?

About this Plan
This past year has been a year not to be forgotten and although many are looking forward to it being over, it is not a year to be unwritten. Let's not forget all we have been through and all that God has done.
