The Golden Keyنموونە
DAY 1: DO YOU HAVE THE KEY OR THE DOOR?
There are usually days when we feel afflicted or abandoned by God, but those days are when He is closest to us. Such uncertainty can distort and alienate us from the purpose or path of blessing that Our Father demands in our lives. If Joseph had been a man who doubted God, indeed, today we would not know him as one of the most excellent biblical examples. In the scriptures, we can see how Joseph suffered from his brothers, in prison, when they sold him, with criticism, from those who did not support him, from temptation, etc. Joseph had many problems, but in the middle of all, use the golden key: Gratitude. At no time did Joseph complain to God about everything that was happening to him. In one way or another, he understood that sometimes God is silent but never stops working.
Today we want you to ask yourself the following question: Do you have the key or have the door? The key refers to gratitude, that is, the attitude of thanking God in the light, but also in the darkness (If you only thank God when good things happen to you, then you are not grateful). And the door is achievements, the victory, the money, the comforts.
To make it a little more understandable, some people don't have what they want and are grateful, just as there are people who have achieved what they want but don't have the attitude of gratitude.
According to the previous example, it is necessary to clarify that God is with both people. It does not mean that if you are not grateful, God will forget about you, but those who understand what Joseph understood will see and enjoy the glory of God. Why? Because they trusted even when there were no paths, even when they did not see God's hand at work, even when humanly speaking, it was impossible. Suppose you decide to trust God and be grateful to Him, congratulations! You have found the key.
Thanking God before you receive what you ask for is like paying for your lunch before it is served. But in this case, we are not just thankful for something specific, because God is not a fairy godmother. God is the creator of everything that exists, and looking at it from that perspective, imagine all the things we should be thankful for: God Himself, Jesus, our life, our pet, the sky, the moon, the sea, dinner, the grass, music, and so we could make an endless list.
It is valid for you to question yourself and ask God why I do not see you at work. God is not going to get angry with you for that. But remember: The teacher is silent during the test. So thank God, because even though it may not seem like it, He is still working in your life.
Your blessing today:
On your appointment with God, ask Him what He has been working on quietly in your life, and thank Him for that!
