7 Attitudes to Enjoy Lifeنموونە
MAKE THE BEST USE
On the first day, we received a warning: "Look carefully, then, how you walk!" (Ephesians 5: 15a) On the second day, we talked about the importance of numbering our days. Today, we will meditate on the second guidance of Ephesians 5:15-17, on how we should live: "making the best use of the time." (Ephesians 5:16).
If every hour of your day, God came to you and asked what you were doing, what would you have to answer? Useful things for the Kingdom of God or trivial things?
In the Ephesians text, we have a clear orientation not only to take advantage of every opportunity but TO MAKE THE BEST USE OF THE TIME! We are called to be productive with our time on earth, not in our way or with trivial things, but in the way of God and with things that are important for the Kingdom of God. We are called to use our days for eternal purposes, not for the earthly nor the things which pass. We must be intentional in making the most of every opportunity for God's glory and manifest His Kingdom.
Today, I make the invitation for you: Make the most of your days, make the best use of the time, living the will of God for you, in His way, for His glory!
Let's pray? Lord, I acknowledge that You have our life in Your hands. I want to be intentional in the way I live. I want to live numbering my days. I want to live your will for me. Help me to fully understand Your will for my life. Do not allow me to lose myself in vain and useless things, but help me to be productive on this earth for Your Kingdom, for the glory of Your name. In the name of Jesus, amen.
