Walk Through the Bible 365 - Aprilنموونە
Learning To Include
Being one of "God's chosen people," the Jews, and being one of the closest disciples of our Lord, Peter needed a reality check that would open his heart up to an outsider like Cornelius and all he represented. God loves. Period. His love is total, complete, inclusive and all-encompassing. It's not possible for Him to love me more than you. He responds to heartfelt faith from anyone.
Prayer: Father God, are there ways my thankfulness for your blessings has turned into pride or a feeling of entitlement? Search my heart; do I believe you love me more than the street people or those of another race or culture, or the rich or poor ... or anyone? Give me eyes to see people as you do. We've all sinned; we all need a Saviour. Keep my heart open. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
