Forty Days Without Fearنموونە
FEAR OF THE WORLD
Some days the fight seems too much. We feel like David without our slingshot, standing in front of Goliath. What we’re up against looks indestructible, undefeatable, and unmovable.
No matter how daunting the task before us, or how big the structure pressing down on us, we cannot let fear stop us from believing we can make a difference. Day by day, in God’s time and in His strength, we can change the worlds in which we find ourselves.
Any structure that is man-made can be overcome. Pharaohs, empires, false ideologies, cultures - in Scripture they have all fallen before God. History teaches us that the things of God triumph over the things of the world, every single time.
Let’s remind ourselves that greater is He that is in us, than anything that stands against us. We are on God’s side and He is our fortress and our refuge. At times, the fight may be hard, but we’re not alone fighting in our own strength, we have Heaven’s armies fighting for us and it’s only a matter of time before any system that stands in the way of God, crumbles before Him.
Let’s take heart and courage, and not become fearful in the face of adversity, or when the odds are stacked against us. If we focus on what is true, what is noble, what is pure and admirable, we will know God standing with us.
If we ever feel like David, standing in front of a giant, Goliath, let’s remember who died on the battlefield that day!
Action: Let’s put ourselves into the verses above and declare them over our situations. Let’s picture ourselves strongly held and protected in God. What does God want us to know?
