Clean Slateنموونە
Have you ever felt like you needed to start over?
This year has left many of us with this feeling. We need a spiritual shower to clean the grime and dirt. We need a clean slate in which we can try again in the hopes of a better outcome. A blank canvas that is fresh for our new painting. The ups and downs of this year have forever changed the lives of some, and have impacted the lives of many.
We need change.
We need renewal.
We need an awakening.
In my time on this Earth, I have learned that being a believer doesn’t mean that you won’t go through pain. On the contrary, I believe that those who follow Christ will often struggle more so than a non-believer. Being a believer forces you to be more in tune with the world. It forever changes your perspective on life. It challenges you to take a closer look at your own actions. It challenges you to not judge, but to seek an understanding. If having faith was easy, everyone would have it. If being a believer lead to a pain-free life, everyone would believe.
Wherever you are right now, spiritually, physically, or mentally, you don’t have to stay there.
Don’t set up shop there.
Don’t make it a home.
Don’t allow your stay to become a residence.
You have to take part. You have to keep going even in the face of defeat. Slates don’t get cleaned unless we wipe them. You have to press on. Leave your worries in the hands of God. Focus on what you can change and don’t be deterred by what you can’t.
With the ending of a year comes the beginning of a new one. Don’t be afraid to start over. Don’t be afraid to make changes.
Don’t be afraid to wipe the slate clean and create something better.
Something different.
Something new.
