Love as the Key to Racial Reconciliation

DAY 2 OF 7

Love Everyone

People ask the “What can I do?” question because they know that something must be done! They know that what is being done currently is not working well. They know that we are overdue for a change. An easy solution is to simply love everyone!

Based on the history of our country and world, love seems to not come easy for all. With so much hatred and division, we must be intentional about loving everyone. Here is a roadmap to aid us in loving, and ultimately move us to a place of reconciliation:

1. Love. Be intentional about racial reconciliation.

2. Examine yourself. Determine how your experiences have shaped you.

3. Listen. Humble yourself and listen to the stories of others.

4. Learn. Educate yourself about applicable history and injustices.

5. Be bold. Speak up… each and every time!

Coupled with love, the process starts with examining yourself. Examine your heart, mind, and soul and ensure that you are ready for racial reconciliation. Examine any implicit biases that you may have. Make certain that your foundation, who YOU truly are, is solid and ready to be built upon. Examine whose you are. Who do you belong to? God created you in His very image. Love designed and created you. Are you ready to examine your heart?

About this Plan

Love as the Key to Racial Reconciliation

The tragic death of George Floyd sparked discussions about why are we still talking about race and racial injustice in 2020. In hope of finding a solution, and common ground after his death, many people raised this question, “What can I do?” This devotional will explain what you can do, and help you to prepare your heart and mind for love and, ultimately, racial reconciliation.
