Celebrate Jesus: ETERNAL LIFE
“And as Moses lifted up the bronze snake on a pole in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, so that everyone who believes in him will have eternal life. 'For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him.’” John 3:14-17 NLT
Jesus didn’t come to condemn us, He came to save us.
However, so many of us have a distorted view of God.
We think He is distant and doesn’t care about us or is like a big police officer in the sky waiting to catch us doing something wrong.
On our honeymoon at St. Martin island, CJ and I went snorkeling. There was a moment I got caught in an undercurrent and yelled out at the top of my lungs “Save me!”
I panicked and thought I might die.
I ended up getting beat up by some coral, but eventually found my way back to safety in the boat. As I entered the boat, I had blood running down my leg. I still have a scar from that day.
But I was safe.
Where are you today? Do you feel in over your head with all the circumstances of your life?
No matter what you are dealing with today, Jesus is here to help, to rescue you and bring you to safety. He is your boat, your safe place.
Are you trying to figure things out on your own? Are you resisting His help today?
Today is the day of salvation. Today you can choose to climb into Jesus’ boat and trust in Him for eternal life.
If you already know Jesus, who can you share Him with today?
Prayer:
"Jesus, I need you to save me. I ask you to pull me from these rough waters and into your boat of eternal safety. I trust in You alone for my salvation. Amen"
