More to the Story

DAY 4 OF 28

Have you ever seen a picture drawn by a little kid? If you have, then you know there usually isn’t a lot of skill involved in the creation. But if the art is so bad, then why are so many refrigerators covered in drawings by little kids? No parent saves their kid’s art because it’s award-worthy or professional. They save it because it was made with love, attention, and care. They save it because they love the one who created it. In the same way, we tend to look at ourselves and think of all the things we want to change.

We all tend to see ourselves as messy, imperfect pieces of art sometimes, don’t we? But what if we started to see ourselves as God sees us? In the same way that David, the writer of this psalm, saw himself? What if we saw ourselves as creations made with wonder and purpose and design? God doesn’t look at you and see your flaws. He sees His wonderful creation! And that’s exactly how He wants you to see yourself, too.

Today, look in the mirror and thank God for creating you exactly as you are.

About this Plan

More to the Story

When it comes to things like sex and dating, you probably think you know the whole story. But somewhere in the messages you’re getting from friends, family, significant others, the media you consume, and even at church, the real story on sex and dating has gotten lost. When it comes to sex and dating, God wants more for your story than you know!
