Beyond Ourselves
We often hear stories of people who heard from God, experienced transformation, and found freedom when they “came to the end of themselves.”
No doubt, wrestling with our core beliefs and “letting go” is the key to embracing and experiencing the life Jesus came to give us.
When we look beyond ourselves to the bigger picture, we find the anchoring perspective that sets us back on the road to purpose. But oftentimes, that purpose inevitably requires a breaking down of who we were, what we thought and especially what we believed.
The life Jesus offers us isn’t devoid of change or pain. But it is filled with hope, with peace, with life. And Scripture promises, the God who started this great work in you would keep at it and bring it to a flourishing finish on the very day Christ Jesus appears (Philippians 1:6, MSG).
Personal Reflection
