As you read, listen, and learn from God's Word, may he speak powerfully into your own laments and longings. As you prepare your heart, please pray this prayer of illumination: Calm me now, O Lord, into a quietness that heals and listens. Help me be still. Open my wounded heart to the balm of your Word. Speak to me in clear tones so that I might feel my spirit leap for joy and skip with hope as your resurrection witnesses. Amen.
