Jesus Over Resultsنموونە
Early on in life most of us get trapped in the comparison game. I am the youngest of 5 siblings. I have identical twin sisters that are 16 months older than me. It seemed like everywhere we went, people would flock to my blond sisters, compare them to the Olsen twins, and I would be unnoticed. I always wanted to have a twin. I even considered dying my hair blond to see if anyone would believe we were triplets.
You compare yourself with the people you work with, your best friend at school, and other people. You compare the vacations you take to the vacations other people take. Eventually, you and I get trapped into the comparison game. As we compare, we begin to want to change the results in our life. Have you been there? Are you there now?
The disciples struggled with the comparison game as well. Jesus was speaking to Peter about Peter’s death in John 21. After Jesus was finished talking to Peter, Peter turned to John and asked, “What about him?” Jesus responds, “What is that to you? You follow me.”
Don’t worry about the results of other people. Focus on yourself. Focus on your relationship with Jesus, and allow Him to produce the results in your life.
Jesus is over results.
