Made Whole #1 - Challenges of Everyday Living

DAY 6 OF 6

INTROSPECTION:

Pushing through in our own efforts never achieves positive outcomes in overcoming the challenges of life—no matter how big or small. At best, unhelpful patterns are developed. We get a picture of the opposite with Jesus: rest. This is not just like sleeping or holiday although they are incredibly important—no, this is about a state of rest. The Bible tells us that Jesus’s death, resurrection, and ascension have enabled humanity to know rest instead of the challenges of its past and the fear that the past will repeat itself today. Rest tells doubt that the future can be brighter. Jesus gives true hope.

NEXT MOVE:

Take some time in this moment to take hold of fears you have today, or that you have had from your past, and any doubts about your future and commit them to God. Read the scriptures again as though they are your own prayers over your today and your future. Thank God for the hope you have discovered or have been reminded of—hope that is only found in Jesus, and invite God’s Spirit to fill you and refresh you right now.

We would love to know how this bible plan has impacted your life however small or large, so send us your feedback, questions, or to get in touch with us by dropping an email to prayer@ddcc.org.uk
