Blooming Wonderful

DAY 5 OF 7

A Time for Everything

For everything that happens in life there is a season, a right time for everything under heaven: – Ecclesiastes 3:1, Voice

Life is a continual series of shade and light, celebrations and sadness, feast and famine. We are either saying goodbye or hello, staying or leaving. A baby is born, or someone is dying. We celebrate marriage or commiserate divorce. Someone is passing a test or failing one. A busy billionaire living in a mansion may desire to live in a cottage by the sea. And the shack dweller is desperate for the billionaire’s life. Whoever you may be, wherever you are, be sure that there is a time for everything. The only choice you have to make is what attitude you are going to have while you move through the seasons and the mysteries of life. Every season does come to an end, but it is up to you to choose how the middle is going to be. Are you going to continue to be blooming wonderful when the challenges try like weeds to choke your lovely garden? You can’t always anticipate trouble, but you can choose how you are going to respond to it.

Like flowers need water, so tears are cleansing both for your emotions and your physical eyes, as the saltiness of the tears acts as a cleanser. Weeping is a way of letting go of pent-up tension. Laughter is beneficial for you—it’s like taking an internal belly jog. Laughter releases feel-good hormones that lighten your mood, and it is hardly surprising that there are many testimonies of people who have been healed by the endorphins released from laughing.

Life presents many reasons for us to question, to doubt, and to deeply reflect. There always seems to be more questions than answers. What we see with our natural eyes does not always line up with our interpretation of the Bible. And yet through it all, we must believe, maintain, and strengthen our faith, trusting implicitly that God makes everything perfect and beautiful in its time. Eternity is because God is. Eternity means that God sees the end from the beginning, and He knows exactly what He is doing in and through your life. Through it all, God gives us abounding evidence that joy, dance, and celebration should be an integral part of our lives. He intends for you to live a blooming wonderful life.

Fill me with your joy, Holy Spirit, and my mouth with laughter and let gladness flood my heart.

About this Plan

Blooming Wonderful

When the seeds of goodness and righteousness start to sprout and spring forth in your life, share the joy of your harvest with others. Make everyone you meet feel their uniqueness and let them know they are special to you. Embrace their differences. It is the beauty of the rose and the gardenia and the tulip that make up a beautiful bouquet. Don’t waste your energy comparing yourself to others.
