Daily Bible Reading - November 2020 God's Life-Giving Word of Praise and Thanksgiving

DAY 3 OF 30

November 3

Introduction

Today’s reading is in the form of a lament, calling upon God to punish the wicked and establish justice for victims of oppression.

Scripture Reading

Psalm 94

Today’s Key Verse: Psalm 94:14

The LORD will not abandon his people; he will not desert those who belong to him.

Reflect

What does the psalm writer ask of God (verses 1-4)? How are the wicked described (verses 5-7)? Reread verses 12-19. What does the writer affirm about God? Have you ever turned to God for comfort when you feel anxious or worried?

Pray

Lord God, whenever I am anxious and worried, you comfort me and make me glad. Your constant love holds me up, and I know that you will never abandon me. Amen.

Prayer Concern

Those who are anxious and worried

Tomorrow’s Reading

Psalm 95: A call to worship God.
