Good Suffering
How’s your learning going? I want to encourage you to continue studying and taking notes on what you learn. I am praying for your growth and believing you’re gaining insight on how to rise up and stand firm from your in-depth time in God’s Word. Keep it up!
Pray:
Holy Spirit, I love You. I am ready to learn and grow. Please reveal Your ways to me today.
Today’s Goal:
Discover how we can share the hope we have in Christ with others.
Study Tip:
Read slowly and patiently, thinking about all of the details you find. Consider reading the same passage multiple times and even in different translations.
Read and Write:
Grab your notebook and quickly review yesterday’s study notes. This is important because we want to make good connections with the text.
Next, read through 1 Peter 3:13-17 and write down your observations.
- Repeating Words: How many times can you find the words “good” and “suffer”?
- Main Message: Write a summary that encompasses the main message of 1 Peter 3:13-17. What are we urged to do?
Reflect:
- What should we do in place of being afraid of our persecutors?
- How are we to share our hope? Why is the “how” important?
Apply:
- Based on today’s lesson, in what way will you rise up and stand firm?
