You Can Run, but You Can’t Hideنموونە
We have found ourselves in one of the most difficult seasons that the world has experienced in a long while. During these times, it’s tempting to run or hide so that we don’t have to deal with the challenges, the heartbreak, and the complexities around us. Sometimes, when we fall on hard times, we can begin to isolate ourselves, give up hope, draw back from our purpose, and avoid the difficult conversations that need to be had, simply because it’s easier than facing everything. It’s been said, “wherever you go, there you are.” You still have to deal with yourself, no matter where you run. The story of Hagar in the Book of Genesis illustrates that we actually can go back and face our fears in the strength and protection of God.
Questions:
1. Are there situations you are running from today because of the season in which you find yourself? What are those situations?
2. Write those situations down and ask God to help you face them with Godly wisdom.
