DIY for the Soul

DAY 3 OF 34

“I’m tired of the color on the walls”. “I need more cabinet space”. “My commute to work is insane”. “It’s time to move”! Whenever we are in the market for a new home, our tendency is to fall in love with the home’s curb appeal, functionality, and price point. Hardly ever does anyone say, “I love this home because of the foundation and materials used in building it”. Most of the time, we fall in love with the awesome exterior and settle for a “good enough” foundation. The same is true when it comes to caring for our soul. As long as our body is functional we feel good.

But a functional body does not equate to a vibrant soul. So how does one gain a healthy soul? I’m glad you asked. It all starts with our thinking. In Phillipians 4:8-9, Paul encourages us to live in God’s peace. Paul uses eight different words to center our attention on what’s most important. Whether it’s purchasing a house or doing something different, God’s peace is always found in what is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent, and praiseworthy.

What is robbing you of God’s Peace?

About this Plan

DIY for the Soul

2020 has been an incredibly challenging year. If you're like me, you're exhausted, a little on edge and uncertain about the future. You may look ok on the outside, but how are you doing on the inside? Most importantly, how's your soul? Many of our souls are damaged, neglected or unhealthy. DIY for the Soul focuses on renovating and caring for the most important aspect of our lives, our souls.
