Loved & Cherished: A 5-Day Devotional for Girlsنموونە
GOD, STRONG IN YOU
You’ve got the power! Do you believe it? If you’re reading this, you were created by God to be a woman of influence in your culture. It might not seem like it right now, but it’s true!
Think about the things you’re good at, things that make you stand out. Maybe you’re really good at math or science and are asked to tutor other students. Maybe, you’re a good team leader and can help everyone stay on track. Or maybe you can solve a puzzle faster than anyone else. All of those really amazing things about you are skills that God will use one day in a bigger way!
But you know what? Sometimes girls get the wrong message when they are young. I know, because I was one of them. I was told and often felt like I was too much. I talked too much, did everything too loud, and asked too many ques- tions. I wanted and liked to be in charge. Sometimes other kids and lots of adults didn’t know what to do with me and all my energy.
Now I see how God used those strengths I started developing as a younger girl. I get to be a business owner, public speaker, and leader in the field of faith-based mental health. I’m grateful for my God’s power and strength that is at work within me. It gives me the ability to do a lot of things well and often in a time crunch.
Maybe you are feeling like you aren’t supposed to be the way you are. I remember a friend once told me people would like me better if I pretended to be a little clueless and quieter. Don’t spend another minute trying to be someone you are not. You can be confident that you have been made for specific purposes on this earth and your strength is going to be put to amazing use. I have a daughter a lot like me. She is confident, funny, and an energetic leader. You may be also and feel a little different than some of the girls around you. Hang in there! God’s got you and He will use everything in your life today to develop the leader you will become tomorrow.
LIVING CHERISHED
Today, know that God’s power is at work in you. Look in the mirror and say to the face looking back, “God made you to be a smart and energetic leader.” What are some ways you can display God’s power at your school, your church, your home, or other places this week? Write down some ideas below.
TALKING WITH GOD
God, thank You for being strong in me even on days when I feel weak. May I tap into Your power every day, looking for ways to develop my leadership skills so You can use me. In Jesus’ name, amen.

About this Plan
Am I loved? Valuable? Smart? The questions can go on and on in a girl’s imagination. Lies can tell you that looks and popularity determine your worth. Loved & Cherished will help you have the confidence that you are loved, protected, secure, whole, and valuable because God is your heavenly father.
