A Merger of Love

Paul builds on the unity of married couples when he reminds us of our close affinity with Christ. As believers, we are ‘members of Christ himself’. We are ‘one with him in Spirit.’ It is personal. We are the bride of Christ! His will determines our will; his priorities become ours; his power is available to us. It is a mysterious ‘merger of love’ that can only be experienced.



Prayer: Father God, there are so many things I don’t understand, but what I DO understand is that I want to live by faith. Today, I thank You for your unfailing love for me; I thank You for making me part of yourself and part of your church. Whenever I think about it, it brings me enormous joy. Help me live my life for You today. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
