Won’t You Be My Neighbor?نموونە
God is good, no matter what is happening around us. This may trigger some unpleasant emotions in people who may ask, “Why do we say that God is good when there is so much difficulty happening around us?” It’s true, there is a lot happening in our world right now, like high rates of unemployment, civil unrest, and a global pandemic. Although difficult things do happen, they do not change who God is, and they do not change that He is good. Psalm 133 tells us that it is “good and pleasant when God’s people live together in unity.” To live together or to dwell means to sit, remain, or stay with. God asks us to do this for our neighbors. Where there is unity, God delights to bring blessing.
Questions:
- We know that no matter what happens, God is good. How can you remind yourself of God’s goodness today?
- What would it look like for you to sit with someone in your world today as they navigate a difficult season?
