Salvation Brings Benefits
Ephesian 2:8-9 (NLT)
GOD SAVED YOU BY HIS GRACE WHEN YOU BELIEVED. AND YOU CAN’T TAKE CREDIT FOR THIS; IT IS A GIFT FROM GOD. SALVATION IS NOT A REWARD FOR THE GOOD THINGS WE HAVE DONE, SO NONE OF US CAN BOAST ABOUT IT.
When Jesus died on the cross and rose to life, it saved us. It didn't just save us FROM hell, but it saved us TO something. Salvation brings benefits. The same faith we used to receive salvation is the same faith we use to access everything God has for us. We have access to all these things because of Jesus. We have access to forgiveness, healing, redemption, love, mercy, renewal, and more. These things are not just available for us, but also to generations after us.
Apply:
Today, be aware of the promises of God that belong to us. As you read your Word, ask God to show you His promises.
Pray:
Dear God, thank you for salvation and all the benefits that come along with it. I choose to remember your promises and expect them in my life. Help me to see your hand in even the small things. In Jesus' name, amen.
Reflect:
1. What benefits of salvation are you currently using your faith to experience?
2. How can you be more intentional about believing God for the best?
