Key Beliefs: Supporting Basic Beliefsنموونە

God
Acts 17 tells about some cities where Paul and Silas preached about Jesus. Some accepted what Paul and Silas preached and some did not. Starting in verse 22, Paul begins to teach people about the God of the Bible. He tells them about God’s power and control over everything. He also told them God does not need anything from us, contrary to the Greek and Roman beliefs. Instead, it is we who need God.
It is easy to slip into thinking God somehow benefits from the things we do for Him. Why would the God who created everything need us for anything? He desires that we worship Him because He loves us and has given us everything we have. He does not become more powerful, or richer, or smarter as a result of our worship; He just wants us to love and thank Him for all He has done for us.
