The writer of Hebrews is writing to Jewish people who are torn between their old Jewish belief and Christianity. In this chapter, the writer points out that in the old Jewish system they needed to continuously sacrifice animals. Jesus only needed to be sacrificed once to pay for all sin. We are made perfect in God’s eyes by Jesus’ sacrifice.
