Faith Has an Action

DAY 4 OF 5

Cross Over

Are you ready to cross over today?

Elijah and Elisha separated themselves from the 50 prophets who had followed them from Jericho. They crossed over the Jordan River on dry land once Elijah had struck the water with his jacket.

Some people are just happy to watch others do the things of God. 2 Kings 2:7 even states that the 50 prophets watched from a distance.

Psalm 34:8 says, “Taste and see that the Lord is good.” God wants to be part of every component of our lives. As we allow Him into more and more areas of our lives, we find that those areas become blessed. Allow God into your workplace, sporting group, finances, relationships, family, and taste and see that those areas become good.

Once we are saved and become followers of Christ we need to keep moving. We need to become disciples of Jesus, not just watchers. Many people followed Jesus while he was on earth, but only 12 were listed as disciples.

What areas will you allow God into more this week on your journey to be a disciple?
