Overcoming Spiritual Amnesia

DAY 3 OF 4

Day 3: Invest in Prayer — Remain in Christ

Beloved,

It’s hard to pray when you feel messy, right?

God uses our mess to refine us.
Don’t be afraid to Go In; it’s there, inside, where God gives us the courage to go out and accomplish all He has called us for. We can stop trying to figure this mess of a life out all on our own as we learn how to rely entirely on Him every step of the way.
Prayer creates openness for us to boldly share our problems, pain, but even more important openness towards God's loving presence. God wants us to fully give Him access to even the messy sides of our hearts - so we can be made anew into who He's calling us to be. — Abide in me, and I in you” (v.4). What’s the final truth to the cure for spiritual amnesia? Stay in Christ. Read the Word daily. Persevere in prayer. Obey His commands as a response to His loving kindness. Fellowship with others believers. Boldly proclaim the Gospel.

Let’s pray this over us.
Heavenly Father, help us to lean into you even on those days when we find it hard to open up to you. You are safe and worthy of all our investment into communion with you. Help us to live in deep authentic honesty with you and those you have placed in our lives. Lord, we love you.
