Each Hair Is Numbered
Authors of different books in the Bible often described their subject’s physical characteristics to help us visualize their appearance. David had a ruddy complexion, Zaccheus was short, and Esau and Samson had an abundance of hair. An angel appeared to Samson’s mother before giving birth saying that Samson should never cut his hair since that is where he would receive his strength. While Samson had his hair, he was a successful warrior, but when Delilah cut off his hair, he lost his physical power.
Jesus tells us in Luke that He knows the amount of hairs on our head and for us to not live in fear. But what if the amount of hairs on our head are not what they once were? Often your hair’s physical appearance can be an outward sign of what your body is going through internally. In my experience, if you begin to notice a thinning of hair, hair loss, or even a premature graying, remove processed foods from your diet since they often contain trans fats. Instead, begin adding healthy minerals like zinc, and oils, like flaxseed, to help build your hair’s vitality. Lastly, begin speaking God’s Word over your hair. One verse to help is found in Luke 21:18 which says, “But not a hair of your head shall be lost.” God responds to our faith. Ask Him today!
