Pearls of Prayer for Parentsنموونە
Pearls of Presence and Grace
There are so many emotions attached to our hearts with parenthood. Our kids are birthed through a canal of pain but bring such joy and happiness to our lives. We are enriched because of the love that they bring us. For those of you still waiting for the miracle of birth, know it truly is one of life’s most rewarding experiences.
There are many joys, heartaches, and emotional situations that find us grateful we have a God who cares about our nurturing roles in our own families. Through God’s blessings, our lives are filled with honor, respect, and love. He builds a culture of trust based on His characteristics of dependability and faithfulness.
We live a blessed life as we share in God’s goodness in our surroundings and the people who fill it. It’s important that we focus on the positives instead of the negatives. By doing so it bridges the gaps between our own insecurities and the expectations of others. I’m amazed at how God can give us the grace to tackle the toddler years and be a part of the transformation into their teens.
God’s grace and presence give parents a rich heritage, which leaves a loving legacy for future generations. We must look for God’s grace in ALL the days of our lives to see His blessings that fall from the heavenly realms. We must live on the grace that goes before us and grasp a hold of the godly things he provides in our journey. God offers grace for each gap that we’ll encounter!
Prayer: Lord, we confess that there are many days we feel defeated, overwhelmed, and underwhelmed by your grace. We ask your grace upon our families to live the life you have entrusted to us. Your grace chases us, your grace changes us. Lead us by your hand of grace, and cover the multitude of gaps in this exciting journey called motherhood. Thank you for allowing us to serve as an extension of your love and grace into our families. Where we need a bigger portion of grace, please grant it. Where we need to extend further to reach another, help us to know that your grace is measureless and endless. May we truly grasp the deep loving-kindness of your compassion and grace. Amen.
