Real Hope: Trust

DAY 5 OF 5

WHO DO YOU TRUST?

Trust is such a small word that carries so much meaning. It is linked with both what we believe and how we feel. We trust in something because we believe it is consistently reliable. We trust people because we believe them to be good and that they have our best interests at heart.

I wonder what your assessment would be of the levels of trust Australians have at the moment and where we place our trust. Statistics usually say that Australians are more likely to trust a nurse than any other professional. I wonder if that would be true for you?

Nurses became the prominent face of the plea to stay at home and social distance during the pandemic globally. Somehow we knew these people, along with other health professionals, were on the frontline, hands on, sacrificially working to save lives and that stirred a sense of trust within us.

We also have someone who went to the frontline, hands on, sacrificially working to save our lives from an ultimate spiritual death. Jesus gave it all to show God’s love for us. I have found placing my trust in God has been the best choice I have ever made. It is worth taking the time to think about where you choose to place your trust.

About this Plan

Real Hope: Trust

In today’s age of information overload, are we putting our trust in the things of this world or in our Heavenly Father? He is the one who is infinitely trustworthy, who should be the primary influence in our life, and who is the only one who can help us be the best version of ourselves. As you read through this plan, consider, who do you trust?
