Today’s Reading
1 Corinthians 12:1-11
Today’s Key Verse: 1 Corinthians 12:7
The Spirit’s presence is shown in some way in each person for the good of all.
Reflect
Spiritual gifts are of two general types—something that God gives for the benefit of the community as a whole, and some special ability given to an individual to carry out a job or meet a need in the life of the church. What spiritual gifts does Paul list in this passage? What is the purpose of these gifts? Which of these gifts do you have? Which of these gifts do you see in others? Which of these gifts do you wish to cultivate?
Pray
Loving God, you are generous and kind in bestowing the gift of your Holy Spirit on all who follow you. Teach me to manifest the presence of your Sprit within me in ways that reflect your love and care. Amen.
Prayer Concern
Those discerning their spiritual gifts
