Love God Greatly: Empoweredنموونە
There were plenty of obstacles to keep the early church from proclaiming the gospel. They were arrested, imprisoned, and threatened with execution. Even in all of the trouble and turmoil they faced, they were steadfast in spreading the gospel message.
A teacher of the law named Gamaliel stood up in front of the Pharisees and teachers of the law and reminded them of something true: if their message was of human origin, it would fail, but if their message and their mission was from God, it would continue.
We are evidence that the message of the early church was from God. The members of the early church were so convinced of the message they shared they were willing to die for it. No matter what they faced, they did not stop proclaiming the good news: Jesus is the Christ. It is indeed good news, news that not only changed the early church but has changed each of us as well.
Lord Jesus, thank You for giving the early church boldness and courage to share the message of the gospel. I am confident their message is from You, not from human origin. You are the Son of God, You have taken away the sins of the world, and You are the only way to receive eternal life. Give me the courage to share the gospel when I face opposition. Amen.

About this Plan
Empowered: Yesterday and Today is a deep study of the book of Acts. As we study the early church and the spread of the gospel we hope to find encouragement and strength to continue spreading the message of the gospel in our spheres of influence. God empowered the early church to share the gospel every single day, and He does the same for us, even now.
