Discovering Purposeنموونە
Biblical Foundation for Purpose
The pursuit of purpose is not limited to the Christian faith or our generation alone. Since the beginning of creation, men and women have wondered, “Why am I here?” We search for meaning in our jobs, communities, relationships, and cultures. Something deep inside tells us that we were made for something significant. And we were. God wrote out a plan for each of our lives—plans full of goodness and hope.
The truth is that the foundation of our purpose is who we are in Christ. God created each one of us with intentionality (Psalm 139), for a unique purpose (Ephesians 2), and gave us a specific mission (Matthew 28). In Scripture, we see story after story of imperfect people who were used in significant ways for the Kingdom of God.
However, it can be difficult to pinpoint our purpose and fully understand the divine meaning of our lives. It’s important to remember that understanding our purpose is much more of a discovery process than it is an instant download.
Over the next seven days, we pray that you are encouraged as you discover yet more about the unique purpose of your life. And we hope that you are propelled even further into your God-given passion, purpose, and potential.
About this Plan
Each one of us has been created for a unique purpose. But sometimes discovering our purpose can feel elusive, and we can grow doubtful that how we live really matters. We invite you to join us on a journey of discovering what Scripture has to say about God’s purpose for your life through this 7-day reading plan.
