DO NOT ALLOW YOUR SITUATION TO CHANGE YOUR CONFESSION
We read that in the midst of all he faced, Job blessed the name of the Lord. In the midst of pain and suffering he did not give in to the temptation to sin and blame God.
His faith remained steadfast, declaring that beyond all he faced, no negative and wrong words would ever come from his lips. Let our confession focus on God rather than aligning with our current situation.
In the midst of all we are living, how is your confession?
Today there are many Christians who confess more with their fingers in social media than with their lips. As God's children, let us take care of what we confess with our lips and also with our fingers.
Do we talk more about God or about the crisis?
We are facing a great opportunity to encourage others, to inspire faith and to reassure those around us who do not know God. And the way to achieve this is to talk more about God's promises than about the problems. Imagine what the world would be like if, as today's verse says, our words were a source of life, encouraging the weary, lifting up the fallen, and comforting the brokenhearted.
It is common to complain in the middle of a crisis; spreading bad news and joining the voice of the criticism is easy enough, but to confess that Jesus is still on the throne in spite of the circumstances, and that above the negative diagnoses there is no other name like His, that is something that requires unwavering faith.
Like Job, I encourage you to decide today to lift up the name of the Lord, that in the face of any difficult situation you will not allow your confession to change.
