Life on Mission نموونە
Minimize Me and Maximize Thee
When we embrace missions, it begins to capsize fear and begins to infuse faith in our life. Missions minimizes me and maximizes Thee. Jesus told the disciples He would send them out to the nations. You do not have to worry. When He sends you, you are not going to be fighting and complaining. Your eyes will be on the nations.
Missions minimize me and maximizes Thee. God wants to minimize us and maximize Himself. The Word of God says, “May He increase, and may I decrease.” May His will be done. Maximizing Him allows us to think less about ourselves and more about what we can do.
I am embarrassed to share this, but when I was a college pastor, I sat down with a guy who was in the mission field. We began to talk, and he asked me if I had ever thought about going on a mission trip. My answer was, “If God wanted me to make a difference there, He would have had me born there.” Hello? Any college pastor reading their Bible? The problem during that time in my life was that it was all about my ministry, my focus, my life. I was young. Many times, even though we may not say it as I did, we live our lives like that—selfishly.
For sure, my heart has changed over the years. I now realize I don’t have to pick one place to make a difference. We get to make a difference wherever we are, wherever we are sent, for all of eternity and all over the world. It’s an amazing thing! I encourage you to focus on God. Seek Him and get to know His Word. Allow the Holy Spirit to govern your life so that He can guide you. When your focus is on the superficial things of this world, you begin to live a life of whining and complaining. Live a life of gratitude, ready to spread the good news.

About this Plan
Did you know that as followers of Christ, our hearts should love the nations? Jesus desires that we love missions as He does. As believers in Christ, we were created to spread the good news and through the Holy Spirit we are able to do so. In this plan, Pastor Gregg Matte gives three statements that will help you understand more about how we can live a life on mission.
