God Is Kind
TALKING TO GOD
Ask God to help you notice the ways He is kind to you and to others.
DIVING IN
Fill a bowl with a bag of your family’s favourite small snack treats. As a family, take turns sharing ways God has been kind to you today. Enjoy a treat from the bowl for each example given.
GOING DEEPER
God’s kindness can be personal, meant especially for one person. David experienced God’s kindness, and he praised God for it, saying “He sent from on high, he took me; he drew me out of many waters” (Psalm 18:16).
God’s kindness may also affect many people in a particular way. God shows His kindness through the ongoing provision described in Acts 14:17: “...for he did good by giving you rains from heaven and fruitful seasons, satisfying your hearts with food and gladness.”
God’s kindness is part of His nature. It’s easy to overlook the everyday expressions of His kindness, but as you intentionally look for them, you become more aware of God’s love for us.
TALKING TO EACH OTHER
- Talk about a time when God has been kind to you.
- Why is it important to notice God’s kindness?
