CHAT-A-BOX Pt 3. Relationshipsنموونە
CONVERSATION STARTERS
Q1) What school rule do you find most annoying? Why?
Q2) If you were in charge of the country, what one rule would you want to change? Why?
What does the Bible say about rules?
- Jesus gives us the most important rules to follow.
“Teacher, which is the most important commandment in the law of Moses?”
Jesus replied, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbour as yourself.’ The entire law and all the demands of the prophets are based on these two commandments.” (Matthew 22:36-40)
- We are to respect people in positions of authority.
Everyone must submit to governing authorities. For all authority comes from God, and those in positions of authority have been placed there by God. (Romans 13:1)
Discussion Questions
- Why do you think Jesus says loving God and loving others are the most important rules to follow?
- Why is submitting to governing authorities a good thing?
- How would the world be different if everyone followed these rules?
