CHAT-A-BOX Pt 2. Being Humanنموونە
CONVERSATION STARTERS
Q1) If you had to describe the human race in three words, what would those words be?
Q2) What are the best and worst parts of human nature?
What does the Bible say about human nature?
- God created us to be amazing and to be a reflection of him.
So God created human beings in his own image. In the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. (Genesis 1:27)
- Because of sin, our nature has changed from God’s design.
For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. (Romans 3:23)
- Everyone who trusts Jesus becomes a new creation in God’s eyes.
We are made right with God by placing our faith in Jesus Christ. And this is true for everyone who believes, no matter who we are. (Romans 3:22)
This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun! (2 Corinthians 5:17)
Discussion Questions
- What do you think it means to be made in God’s image?
- What are some of the ways sin has impacted our human nature?
- What has God done to solve this problem?
