Revival Rising: Loving God and the Lost With All That You Are نموونە
Reawakening Your Heart
The genuine rescue of our heart begins with our genuine pursuit of God’s open door. Recently, I found two beloved dogs lost in a wolf-infested wilderness. Had they not recognized the help and jumped through the open door into the safety of the truck, they would have been destroyed by what surrounded them. No matter what “wolf-infested wilderness” you face, if you want help—like the dogs who wandered away from the safety of their master—you must choose to fully “get in the truck” of your Master’s redemptive presence. Only when you seek God with your whole heart will you find Him.
God is not interested in part of your heart. He desires for you to pursue Him with all your heart. Giving Him only part of your heart is the same as only giving Him part of your cancer. The rest of it is still going to kill you. He does not want to heal part of you; He wants to heal all of you.
Likewise, giving Him only part of your heart would be the same as trying to lead part of a horse. Until the whole horse decides to follow, you are not going anywhere. In the same way, our heavenly Father does not want to redeem, heal, and free only part of your heart, a portion of your soul, a bit of your mind and a piece of your strength.
Complete renewal before God begins when you stop pursuing God with your parts and pieces and start pursuing Him with your all. The lost dogs could not be partially rescued. They could either run away from help—or run and jump into it. We have the same choice. If you genuinely want to move deeper into the loving presence of God, pursue Him with all of your heart.
Jesus told us to ask, seek, knock, press in, chase. These are pursuant words of action—actions we can all do. And why pursue? Because rarely do we find what we are not looking for. Genuine rescue rarely happens until we look for it.
Today, will you run and jump—wholeheartedly—into the refuge of God’s love for you?
Prayer: Dear Lord, I leave behind my meandering half-heartedness that was once my relationship with You. Right now, I give You all that I am—heart, soul, mind, strength. Jesus, I choose to follow only You. I’m running and jumping into Your arms. Today, I commit to pursue You alone. I humbly receive Your rescue. Gratefully, I will remain in Your refuge. My heart is safe within Your heart. Thank You, my Savior.
