Easter With Hope

DAY 5 OF 5

His Name is Jesus

God wrapped Himself up in human flesh and gave Himself to mankind! God Himself became an approachable, contactable, knowable man. What a mysterious and yet wondrous fact! Our God became a man, experiencing everything of human life and living a perfect, sinless human life.

He became one of us so that He could sympathise with us and, more importantly, so that He could save us. Jesus, Immanuel – ‘God with us’

From the manger in Bethlehem, Jesus lived – loving people, identifying with people and touching people at the point of their need.

Jesus went to the cross, and from the cross to the grave. He arose, He reigns and is coming again!

God's message through Him is more than a historical fact. It is a message of incredible hope.

Hope for the future, that we are redeemed and are heaven bound; Jesus paid the full price to buy us back, to redeem us – from condemnation to sin. He offered it to us freely, but it wasn’t free. It cost Him everything.

Hope for the present, that we are not alone, but are loved and have purpose.

Hope even over the past, that our mistakes, and our failures, are not greater than God’s power to transform.

His name is Jesus! Saviour and God-anointed King, worthy of our worship, honour and praise.
